The 189th NSW West Tamworth Boys' Brigade Company is part of Tamworth Community Presbyterian Church and is affiliated with The Boys' Brigade Australia in NSW.
The Boys' Brigade is a youth organisation specifically for Boys aged from 5-18 years of age. Providing fun, challenge & adventure for all school-aged males, BB trains and empowers young people for effective leading & mission impact in their world today.
With an unashamedly Christian foundation, BB has a proven track record for reaching out and providing mentoring programs for Boys of all backgrounds, abilities & interests - broadening their horizons and skills with international recognition for their achievements.
BB has 3 sections:
- Anchors (5 to 7 years)
- Juniors (7 to 12 years)
- Seniors (12 to 18 years)
All Sections run a 4 sided program of educational, physical, social and spiritual activities suited to the particular age groups.
The Company meets at 5.30pm on Thursday afternoons during school terms at Tamworth South Public School hall, Woodward Avenue, South Tamworth, NSW.
There is also a Girls' Brigade that meets at the same time and place for girls from 5 years of age.
